# Weekly Update #7

This week has been amazing, I transitioned to a new role in Microsoft and am now part of the [Cloud Advocate](https://developer.microsoft.com/advocates/?WT.mc%5Fid=modinfra-0000-salean&ref=techielass.com) team. 

In this weekly update video I talk a bit about that new role and what it entails. I also talk more about the [Glasgow Azure User Group](https://www.gaug.co.uk/?ref=techielass.com), and trying to get involved in [Hacktoberfest](https://hacktoberfest.digitalocean.com/?ref=techielass.com) this year.

I also talk a bit about the Surface event that happened this week and the new hardware and accessories that were unveiled!
